EventFrame vs Guestpix: "unlimited uploads" vs transparent gigabytes

Guestpix is one of the best-known QR photo-sharing platforms, and a lot of what it does, it does well. If you’re choosing between Guestpix and EventFrame, the real difference isn’t a feature checklist — it’s the pricing philosophy. Here’s the honest version.

Competitor details below are from Guestpix’s public pages as of July 2026 — always confirm current terms with them.

What Guestpix does well

Credit where due: Guestpix is a polished, established product. One-time payment (no subscription), QR-code galleries guests use without an app, a live slideshow, digital invitations and RSVPs, multi-language support, and full-resolution ZIP downloads. Galleries are hosted for 12 months from the event date, with discounted renewals after that. It’s a genuinely broad package, sold in event-size tiers (Small through X-Large, starting around $49 as of mid-2026).

The core difference: what “unlimited” is standing on

Guestpix advertises unlimited photo and video uploads. EventFrame advertises a number of gigabytes. Those sound like opposites, but storage costs money either way — the question is where the limit lives. With an unlimited-uploads model, the boundaries move into the surrounding terms: which tier you bought, upload windows (Guestpix’s smaller packages come with a set upload window), and the practical constraints every “unlimited” service carries. We wrote a whole post on what “unlimited photos” actually means — the short version is that unlimited is a pricing style, not extra physics.

EventFrame’s answer is to put the one real limit on the label: your event includes a stated number of GB of original-quality storage — full resolution, metadata intact, at every tier, photos and videos alike. A phone photo is 3–6 MB, so even the entry tier holds thousands of originals. Fill it anyway? Top up in one tap, mid-event, without changing plans.

Where EventFrame goes further

The guest page is fully yours. Guestpix offers gallery themes and customization. EventFrame ships a full drag-and-drop designer for the guest upload site: cover, colors, sections, layout — the page guests land on after scanning can be built to match your event, not just re-skinned.

Moderation is built for live events. Both platforms let hosts remove photos. EventFrame adds a moderation queue with automatic screening, co-admins you can invite to curate with you, and album organization — so a projector wall at a family event stays safe without you playing bouncer all night.

The live wall is standard. EventFrame’s Spotlight wall — new uploads appearing live on a TV or projector — is part of every event, not a package feature.
